Our walk takes us to the beautiful 14th Century University of Glasgow with a visit to the iconic cloisters. Our next stop is in front of the building to enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Following the banks of the River Kelvin the tour takes us through Kelvingrove Park to the famous Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. You can end the tour here and spend time exploring the museum or continue to the start point in Byres Rd to visit the many boutique shops in the surrounding cobbled lanes.
This 2 hour walking tour looks at the historical development of Glasgow and especially the West End. The tour focuses on the buildings of the area and uncovers many of the stories behind the iconic facades. Meeting at Oran Mor the walk begins with a look at the buildings in Byres Road and how they've grown and changed over the centuries. Continuing through the mainly residential area, marvelling at the changes from their grand Victorian beginnings into the Grand Design homes of the modern era.
Easy walk with a few gentle inclines.
